My name is Victoria Woodbridge. I am a mum of three. Two of my children suffer with disabilities, which makes me even more passionate about supporting disabled individuals. My son has autism and ADHD and my daughter has Cerebral Palsy, and other additional needs including speech and swallowing difficulties and a peg feeding tube. Therefore, I have in depth knowledge and experience of working with disabled people but also first-hand experience with supporting and advocating for my own children. I am very fortunate to have a devoted and supporter partner who has given up his work to help look after the children so that I can fulfil my ambition and concentrate on my studies.
I am very passionate and committed to supporting the deaf community which I have done so for the past 14 years.
During this time, I have become more aware of how difficult it is for deaf people to access important and vital information. I have been working closely with Bounce Life, an insurance brokerage, for the past 18 months and have discovered that there is no accessibility for the deaf or hard of hearing when it comes to getting life and funeral insurance.
As a result of this, I decided that something needed to be done and established ‘Life and Deaf’. I am on a mission to ensure the deaf community are provided with all the information they need and receive regulated advice from a trusted and friendly adviser, in order to make important decisions to protect their loved ones.
I truly hope that by helping the deaf community get easier access to information, in a way they will understand, that they will feel empowered, in control and become more independent. Consequently this will help them to make life changing decisions and informed choices about insurance and how best to protect their income, their mortgage and the people they love and care about.
Life and Deaf are the only company currently supporting the deaf community with insurance and offering sign support to ensure they fully understand the important decisions they are making about their future.
